From Millenium Bridge Heading East

We reach the Millennium Bridge, the first of twenty one bridges between here and Dalmarnock.

There’s a fine view of the changing landscape on the other side of the river and on this side we pass close to the new media landmarks – not least BBC Scotland and STV – which have transformed Glasgow’s industrial docklands.

Pacific Quay, is on the site of Plantation Quay and Princes Dock Basin, opened by the Clyde Navigation Trust in 1900.

Look carefully between and beyond the gleaming new steel and glass constructions for the magnificent old red brick industrial buildings. Many, but not all, are finding new uses.
